The Innova Birdie is our best “go-for” disc and an excellent approach disc. It is a slow, straight flyer with a sure Thumtrac® grip that makes it easy to go for it without worry.
The Birdie is a slow, straight flyer with our Thumtrac® grip for a sure release. It has great chain catching ability. Great for approach shots, as it flies straight and slow start to finish. It is one of our best “go for” discs as it doesn’t go far past the basket on misses, and stays put when it hits the ground. A good disc for those players making the conversion from flat edged disc sports: Catch, Ultimate, Freestyle, etc. Classification: Putt & Approach Diameter: 21.2 cm Weight Range: 150 Class to 175 grams Stability Rating: Speed: 1 (1 to 12) is how quickly a disc cuts through the air, where 10 is the fastest. Glide: 2 (1 to 7) is how much "carry" or "float" a disc has where 7 is the most. Turn: 0 (-3 to +1) is the first part and is rated from -3 (most understable) to +1 (most overstable). Fade: 0 (0 to +5) is the end of the flight and it is rated from 0 (stable) to +5 (overstable). Please note that not all colors and weights are available from the manufacturer's.
