Surge SS To Debut At Bowling Green Bowling Green, KY - Players at the Bowling Green Am Championships will be the first to throw the super straight FLX Surge SS! Pro Video Clinic: Long Distance Drives Seven pros with big arms show you their form and techniques for getting maximum distance. Total running time: 9:06. Force Driver To Debut At Memorial Scottsdale, AZ - The most talked-about disc of the year will be making its debut at the PDGA National Tour kickoff event next week. The wide-rimmed Force is the fastest disc on -- or off -- the planet and will help players tame the longest courses with a new level of distance potential. Watch it take flight at the Memorial presented by Discraft, March 6-8, and look for the Force at retailers the following week. FLX Drone LE Sells Out In Two Days Wixom, MI - The Limited Edition FLX Drone midrange has sold out less than two days after its retail release. "We were overwhelmed by the demand," said Discraft spokesman Brian Sullivan. "The Drone is a very overstable, pro caliber midrange, but players are going crazy for it in the new FLX plastic." He noted that factory supplies had been completely sold out within two days of release, but players would still be able to find this disc until retailer supplies were exhausted. A second LE run is anticipated for late 2008. Geoff Bennett Sets Disc Golf Record Breakout pro Geoff Bennett of Michigan has set a new record for having played in the most PDGA pro tournaments in one year. Bennett competed at 50 events in 2007 - one nearly every weekend of the year - to surpass the previous pro record of 47. He travelled from MI to a C-tier in Alabama in the final weekend of the year. All those events also helped Bennett take 2nd place in the 2007 PDGA points race. Disc Golf Course Count: 2500 The PDGA has announced the 2,500th course to be added to the PDGA Course Directory. Longtime course directory editor Cliff Towne reported the news in conjunction with this week's release of the 20th Edition of the PDGA Disc Golf Course Directory. The directory is available in book form or online. 299 courses were added in 2007, the greatest annual growth ever. Boston Globe: Ultimate Is Catching On After school on a Thursday afternoon, a group of students from Norwell High gathered to play one of America's fastest-growing sports. But they didn't see it that way. "I'm just here to block passes and score touchdowns," said 15-year-old sophomore Shayne Pyle... UPA Ultimate Club Championships Photo Gallery Open winners Sockeye put a hurt onto Johnny Bravo, and Fury defends their 2006 title against Riot in the Women's division.
